ABOUT TEAM
UTAHWelcome
and thank you for your interest in joining Team Utah and
the Utah Starz. Team Utah has been around for more than
9 years with our U19, U17, U15, & U13 teams
traveling to exciting tournaments and learning from some
of the best college players and coaches in the nation.
This last season our players had the opportunity to
attend 13 different tournaments…that’s more
tournaments than any other Utah competitive team, and,
we plan to do it again! |

Team
Utah believes in providing the best coaching, guidance,
and learning experience to our players regardless of
where their skill level is today…we will improve every
aspect of their game. This is a comp league…our coaches
respect the players and expect the same in return. We
offer the best training you will ever find…the
excitement of playing teams and players that are there
to win and have the skills to make you play your
best…and all we ask…is that your player give it their
best. Going on the field knowing you’ve had the best
training possible…win or lose…that is where the fun is.
We play hard, practice hard, and have fun! If you want
to be a part of Team Utah…come ready to play, learn and
grow. Team Utah players become leaders on their
teams…you will see a difference after they’ve played
teams from across the country, and then bring what they
learned back to their school teams.

Winning
games comes to the teams that work together, practice
together, and they must learn to play as a team and have
fun together…winning at all costs and at the expense of
our players’ health, welfare, and dignity is not
acceptable or practiced by Team Utah. We do ask players
to commit to at least 2 tournaments, and by providing up
to 8 to choose from should add enough flexibility over
most family schedules, time, and budgets to allow this
to take place.

FEES AND
COSTS Team
Utah has only 1 (one) required fee…the
"Team Fee" for U19, U17, U15,
U13. All other fees are only required if the player
participates in a tournament. We have defined all of our
fees below, and below the definitions is a simple chart
outlining the fees for each group. This year there
are no other fees due throughout the year. We
have gone to a simple one time only pricing, and
made it so if you travel or participate in a tournament,
we charge enough per tournament to cover our coaching
stipends and additional admisistration
fees. |

FEES
DEFINED
TEAM
FEE: The Team
Fee is a one-time fee that covers the player from
September to September. This fee helps pay the costs of
practice facilities, field rentals, balls and equipment,
administration fees, some coaching stipend fees,
administration fees, ancillary costs of running the
organization.
LOCAL
EVENT FEE:
ONLY a player that participates in a Local Tournament
pays The Local Tournament fee. This fee helps compensate
our coaches for taking time away from work and family to
coach our players, and to pay for necessary tournament
expenses and help cover administration costs. +
Tournament Fee, Travel Food Hotel.
TRAVEL
EVENT FEE:
ONLY a player that participates in a TRAVEL Tournament
out of state pays The Travel Tournament fee. This fee
helps pay travel costs and compensate the costs of our
coaches for taking time away from work and family to
coach our players, and to pay for necessary tournament
expenses and help cover administration costs. +
Tournament Fee, All Travel, Food,
Hotel.
TOURNAMENT
FEE:
This fee is charged by the Tournament itself and is not
controlled by Team Utah. This fee is separate and may be
charged on the Tournament site, or they may charge Team
Utah for the team and we will collect it from you to
reimburse ourselves. These fees range from $35 to $300
depending on the tournament. We let you know where to
pay this fee…but it is separate, EVENT FEES as described
above are ON TOP of the Tournament
Fee.
TRAVEL,
FOOD, LODGING:
You are responsible for all of your travel, food, and
lodging fees to get to and from a tournament. We will
let you know of hotels and other data that we research
and are given so you can coordinate with us on where the
discounts may be or where the team is staying so we keep
everyone together.
WATER/SNACK:
is covered in the Local and Travel Event Fee.
JERSEY:
All Team Utah Members receive a Jersey, Penne and Shorts
when they sign up for Team Utah. Many U17 & U19
teams opt to only wear their penne, whereas our U13
& U15 teams appreciate the stigma that goes along
with having a cool uniform, yes parents…we factored in
the “Cool Factor”.
SWEATS,
GEAR BAGS, SWAG & HOODIE:
This is an option for all players but is not required to
be part of the team. Many players appreciate having
these affordable options, but by no means are they
required. |

OPTIONAL
ITEMS Team
Utah also sells other optional gear to help cover the
costs for many of the expenses incurred from running an
organization of our size. We add a little mark up, but
keep the costs very reasonable…our goal isn’t to nickel
and dime you to death, just get some help paying for
items required to make sure your player has the best
experience of their lives. So look for Team Utah Hats,
Stickers, Socks, Black Hole Lacrosse Bags with your
players Name on it, Hoodies, Sweats, and other items
when we pass around the order forms, and pick up
something nice for Christmas, a Birthday, or any holiday
for that matter! |
