Welcome
and thank you for your interest in joining Team Utah and Utah
STARZ. Team Utah is the oldest competitive Lacrosse Team in
Utah and has been in existence since Mason Goodhand started it
back in 2000, and our new acquisition of a STARZ
franchise being added in 2008. Team Utah has
Boys High School competitive teams (U17 & U19) and
Middle School or Youth teams (U13 & U15) all of
which travel to exciting tournaments and learn from some
of the Winningest Lacrosse Coaches in Utah, Qualified College
Lacrosse Players and College Lacrosse Coaches. In the
past two seasons our players attended Thirteen
(13) Lacrosse Tournaments…that’s more
tournaments than any other Utah competitive team...we WON 2
Championships, Placed 2nd in Two Championships, and were in
the playoffs 8 times!.
Team
Utah also gave its U17/U19 more exposure, thanks to the STARZ
program, sending our teams to events where they could be
viewed by over 100 College Coaches and Recruiters,
with two of our players so far receiving letters and emails of
interest. We also had 10 (TEN) Team Utah Starz
players selected to play on the West Coast Starz whose
teams are made up of a few players from each Starz franchise
in Texas, California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado,
Washington, and Oregon. The West Coast Starz (and our Utah
Starz boys) came home with three National
Championships!
Team
Utah believes in providing the best coaching, guidance, and
learning experience to our players regardless of where their
skill level is today…we will improve every aspect of their
game. This is a comp league…our coaches respect the players
and expect the same in return. We offer the best training you
will ever find…the excitement of playing teams and players
that are there to win and have the skills to make you play
your best…and all we ask…is that your player give it their
best. Going on the field knowing you’ve had the best training
possible…win or lose…that is where the fun is. We play hard,
practice hard, and have fun! If you want to be a part of Team
Utah…come ready to play, learn and grow. Team Utah players
become leaders on their teams…you will see a difference after
they’ve played teams from across the country, and then bring
what they learned back to their school teams.
Winning
games comes to the teams that work together, practice
together, and they must learn to play as a team and have fun
together…winning at all costs and at the expense of our
players’ health, welfare, and dignity is not acceptable or
practiced by Team Utah. We do ask players to commit to at
least 2 tournaments, and by providing up to 8 to choose from
should add enough flexibility over most family schedules,
time, and budgets to allow this to take place.

ADVERTISING
& DONATIONS
We
are always looking for Companies or Individuals who would
like to advertise on Team Utah Jerseys and on our web sites.
The more money we can raise the cheaper we can make each
tournament and…if we raise enough we can help subsidize
everyone’s costs, and take our teams to farther destinations.
We did it last year with Hammer Lacrosse logo on our web site
and jerseys…So if you are looking for a great place to spend
some marketing money or just like that warm fuzzy feeling you
get when you help out your players sports team…we always
welcome the help.
